The Colortrac was designed to provide fast,
high quality scans, copies or file distribution for large format photo-
graphs, satellite images, artwork, graphic design, posters and any other
document that requires a wide gamut and/or high dynamic color range.
These scanners are IDEAL for professional pre-press service providers,
reprographic bureaus, copyshops, sign shops, advertising agencies,
printers, engineering firms, mapping services ... to name just a few of
the many who could benefit from this outstanding performer!
These 25” scanners will also accurately capture the finest details of
maps, engineering drawings, blueprints, site plans, architectural ren-
derings and MANY other technical documents. The monochrome or
color resolutions range from 100 up to 9600 dpi. Original images can
be captured off media from 6” up to 48” wide by ANY length. The
version provides motorized thick media scanning of
mounted originals up to .8” (2cm) in thickness.
The imaging system at the heart of the scanner consists
of (5) ultracompact digital CCD camera units (DCU’s). Each DCU is
capable of scanning images at 1200 x 600 dpi optical input resolution
(maximum 600 x 600 dpi optical output by the scanner) and captures
48-bit color or 16-bit pan-chromatic monochrome data. The CCDs
have 10,800 pixels of RGB triplets + pan-chromatic monochrome
... a total of 216,000 pixels in each scanner.
